Fall 2022 Wedding Trends

Hi, friends!

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the last few weeks of Summer! I don’t know about you, but I am beyond ready for cooler weather, booties, and the ever infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte! This is one of those moments in the year where not only does the season change, but so do trends. So, in honor of my favorite season approaching, I decided now is the best time to let you all in on this year’s Fall Wedding Trends!

I have been anxiously awaiting this seasons wedding trends for two reasons: One being the hightended popularity in maxamalism including trinckets, pops of colors, and funky details. The second reason being, if anything, fashion repeats itself. I was curious to see if we would see trends from previous years being used again. To my surprise, it looks as if we are seeing both trends.

Without further ado, here are the 2022 Fall Wedding Trends!

Cake Arches

It’s time to take your cake display to the next level with a Cake Arch! The best part about this trend is you can decorate yours with flowers from your florist, pampas grass or leave it plain for more of a minimalist vibe. These super fun cake displays make lovely focal points in any wedding venue! I am so here for this trend!

Hand Painted Details

This trend has got to be one of my favorites! There is a rise in popularity over small, intimate hand painted details. You will more than likely find these details found within wedding decor, napkins, ribbons, and more. This is also a great way for a couple to incorporate their personal touch within wedding details!

Short Wedding Dresses

I have been waiting all year for this trend to finally pick up it’s well-earned momentum! We are officially in the beginning of the “short wedding dress” trend. This is something I saw coming earlier this Spring when I started to see the Silke dress blow up practically overnight. This style of dress is unmatched and I see it being one that will last for a couple of years.

Weekend Long Receptions

I believe we are experiencing an unique unraveling of unconventional wedding traditions being built. One on the rise is a weekend long reception! This would look anything from holding your wedding on a Friday, a party on Saturday, then a smaller celebration on Sunday. This trend is for those who are wanting something more laidback and easy going.

Monochrome Moments

Last, but not least is the comeback of monochrome weddings! I say comeback because there was a very short lived time between 2011-2012 where this was THE thing to do at your wedding. If you go back and look at photos you will find that the trend for its time was…outdated. Now, there is the opportunity to put a chic and modern twist to the monochrome look.

I mean, y’all. How FUN are these rising trends? Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing with mason jars and lace, but it is refreshing to see how trends are evolving past that and how we are truly embracing our own personalities with bright colors, unconventional wedding styles, and more. Which one of these 2022 Fall Wedding Trends are you most excited about?

Until next time…
