For Photographers- What to Pack on Wedding Days

Hi Friends + Happy Sunday!

I have returned back to work after a nice long Christmas vacation (which was the struggle, but we made it!) and I am continuing to plan fun things in the business through the next few months!

Today, I want to talk specifically to my photographer friends! I have been wanting to write a blog aimed towards photographers for some time now and have been thinking about what subject to write on. This will also be linked in my For Photographer’s section for easy referencing! When writing down my list of topics, I thought about how fun it would be to write on what to pack on our wedding days! Wedding days can be long and sometimes you have to expect the unexpected! So, here is my organized list of wedding day essentials for all of my photographers out there!

For The Camera

  • Camera Body.

  • Back-up Camera Body.

  • 35mm Canon Lens (for wide angle shots.)

  • 50mm Canon Lens (which can be used for the rest of the day.)

  • 85mm Canon Lens (used for portraits.)

  • 70mm-200mm Canon Lens (which I use for ceremonies.)

  • Off-Camera Flash and AA Batteries (+ extra ones!)

  • Camera Batteries and battery chargers

  • SD Card + SD Card Case (my favorite is SanDisk Extreme Pro 170mb/s- it’s so fast you’ll never miss a moment!)

  • Dual Camera Body Strap (which will be your BFF!)

For Your Photos

  • Flat Lay Box (which includes different ring boxes! My favorite is linked here. This is a great Mrs. Box dupe!)

  • Painted Textured Canvas (my favorite is linked here.)

  • Ribbons.

  • Extra envelopes or Blank invitations (You can get some free samples from Minted.)

  • Coasters to spice up detailed shots (which you can find from Anthropologie.)

For Yourself

  • Water Bottle or Water Cannister

  • Liquid IV Packets (used for hydration + energy.)

  • Snacks, snacks, snacks! (Granola bars, protein bars, etc.)

  • Extra pair of shoes (especially for any days spent outdoors!)

  • Jacket or sweater.

  • Masks!

There you have it! Now, this is only a very small list of items that prove to be essential when working my wedding days! I am sure there is so much more that could be added, but consider this a good base to build upon. If you have something you want to add, comment below!

Have a great start to you week and I will see you next Sunday!

-xoxo
