Essentials to Pack in Your Bridal Emergency Kit

Hi friends!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far! Between editing, shoots, and travel it’s definitely been a busy week on my end. Coffee and Folklore (Where are my fellow Swifties at!?) have been my best friends of the week.

This past weekend I was shooting a wedding and we had the bride had a small mishap with her wedding dress! The zipper wasn’t wanting to cooperate with her or anyone else. They tried so many times, but it just wouldn’t budge. So, finally the bride asked for someone to safety pin the dress together and it worked! It was definitely one of those moments during your day that you don’t plan for.

Then I had a thought cross my mind:

What if brides packed their own day-of emergency kit? It is definitely something I have seen done before, but I believe it could be something very beneficial for all brides to consider when planning closer to their actual wedding date. We all know that you can’t plan for those random, out of the blue, emergencies. Like double-sided tape for the Mother of the Brides dress or a safety pin for that one tricky boutonniere. But, I believe these items are essential for you Bridal Emergency Kit.

Let’s start with categories! I want to break up essential items every bride could use to their advantage.

Snack/Health

  • Bottled Water.

  • Individually wrapped snacks. (ex. Dried fruit, Cheez-it’s, etc.)

  • Nail File.

  • Fashion Tape.

  • Sewing Kit.

Just In Case

  • Cell Phone Charger.

  • Mini Lint Roller.

  • Clear Nail Polish.

  • Baby Powder.

  • Scissors.

Toiletries

  • Travel Toothpaste Kit.

  • Tampons/Pads.

  • Band-aids.

  • Baby Wipes.

  • Deodorant.

And there you have it! Now, these are only several items to keep handy on you. You can always add more according to what you know you’ll need. The key to packing you bridal emergency kit is this: if you think you will need it, pack it!

Remember you can always have your bridal party, mom, or friend help pack and keep track of your kit the day of your wedding, too!
