When planning your big day, it is natural to want everyone you know to be a part of your big day!
Not only that. but it is a big responsibility to start the wedding planning process, create the guest list, and more! When in the early stages of beginning your wedding planning you are faced with the decision of having bridesmaids at your wedding! It may seem like a no-brainer, but many brides opt-out of having their besties stand by their side!
These brides have many reasons for deciding not to have a bridal party. This can include the stress from choosing a party, the cost of bridesmaid’s dresses, or simply because they don’t want one! So, we are left with the question: Do I need bridesmaids at my wedding? In today’s blog, I will go over three reasons why you don’t need one! I want to quickly note this is not to influence someone who does want a bridal party, this is for any of my brides-to-be who are simply thinking about not having one! Let’s get into it!
THREE REASONS WHY YOU DO NOT NEED BRIDESMAIDS
-
Your friends can help without being a part of a bridal party!
One of the greatest advantages of having a bridal party is the extra help with wedding planning, day of, and post-wedding! It is totally normal to want or need a group of your best friends to help, but that doesn’t mean you have to formally have them in your wedding! Try reaching out to a small group of friends and delegate wedding responsibilities.

Both you and your friends will save money!
I think it is safe to say that everyone is all about saving money these days! One way to drastically cut down on wedding expenses is to cut out a bridal party. When you look at your bridesmaids, you have to think about a couple of cost factors including dress, hair/makeup, and more. On the opposite side of the spectrum, your friends are looking at cost factors including jewelry, fake tanning, and the bachelorette party. Now as these things can be very important, they aren’t always necessary and can be a way for you all to save money!

You can celebrate with your friends in other ways!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I am around a group of people (even my best friends in the world) I can get extremely anxious! If you are the same way, it may be best to cut a bridal party from your wedding! There are many other ways you and your friends can celebrate including a nice dinner, a sleepover, and more! If you have done something like this before, leave what you and your friends did in the comments below!
This is another reminder that this is not me putting down anyone who chooses bridesmaids! I just want to know the options available for all brides! I hope you all can choose exactly what you want on your wedding day!
Until next time…
