Happy Sunday, friends!
I hope you all have had a wonderful week! This week I wanted to share a gallery with you all that was one of my absolute favorite weddings to date. I think you all will truly enjoy this one!
Everyone, meet Breanna and Nick!
Shooting with Breanna and Nick was honestly a fairy tale. The emotional value between these two was so precious to watch. When I look over this gallery I can’t help but think of their first look. Right before their first look we all sat in the bridal suite of the wedding venue and watched Breanna prepare. You could just tell that she was so excited to see Nick and it was very emotional! As we walked down to the wooded path, she was teary eyed the entire time. One Nick turned around and saw her, he began to cry too! And of course by that time, I am crying too! It was such a celebration of their love and how long they had waited for that particular moment.
Photographers, I always build extra time into the schedule for moments like the first look or more. Sometimes emotions will gradually build during the day and brides, similar to Breanna, will need a couple minutes to be able to lean into those emotions, cry, celebrate, and more!
Other than the first look, Breanna and Nick had another moment during their day that is a moment that will always be my favorite. During the ceremony, they included their families in the sand pouring tradition. I have seen many couples do this before, but having their families come together to pour sand into the one jar truly was beautiful. The way the organized it was Nick’s family poured sand into one jar. Then, Breanna’s family poured sand into another jar. And finally, they took those two jars and poured the sand into one final jar. It was one of those moments of total love and everlasting bliss. Sure, it sounds a little corny, but it’s so true!
I am such a sucker for those moments during a wedding day that orchestrate raw emotions and this day was no different. They radiated joy, love, and celebrated the entire night. If the saying, “and they lived happily ever after” could be encompassed into a couple, it would be them!
