Happy Sunday, besties!
I hope you all are having the best weekend! I am typing from my computer now, but I will be on the beach by the time you read this. It has been quite a month with bookings, work, and moving homes so I decided to grab my friends and take life to the coast. I know I can’t be the only one who runs away to the beach every time I get overwhelmed, hehe. With another busy season arriving soon, I thought now is the best time to escape and leave my thoughts to the ocean waves. (Quite poetic, huh?)
This week’s blog inspiration comes from a shoot I wrapped up on Friday evening. It was an absolutely stunning bridal portrait session that took place on the grounds of The Jekyll Island Club Resort. If you haven’t had the chance to visit their resort, let this be your sign. Shooting there feels as if you are being teleported to The Hamptons. It is a one-of-a-kind experience that I believe everyone should try at one point in their life. All of that to say, I was able to get some absolutely gorgeous shots that I can’t wait to share with you in late September!
One thing I like to do to prepare for bridal portraits is to create a small shot list with poses that I want to guide my bride through. These poses include some that you may see in any standard shoot or some that aren’t traditional, but just as much fun. When I was creating this list, I thought this could be the perfect opportunity to share three of my favorite poses with you!
Brides, it is never easy to pose.
It can feel awkward, forced, and overall a tad uncomfortable. This goes for anyone in front of the camera, but having an idea of how you would like to pose before going into your shoot will help! Read below for three of my all-time favorite bridal portrait poses, then let me know if you have one you would like to share in the comments!
THREE POSES FOR YOUR BRIDAL PORTRAITS
Obviously, there are many other poses you can use, but these three are staples in my own business! If you are on the hunt for more, you can always e-mail me and I will walk you through more. Just remember to do what feels best for you, play with angles, and have fun.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Until next time…
