Gallery Highlight: Emily + Adam

Hello, hello!

Friends, what a week it has been! I celebrated my best friend in the entire world this past weekend as she said, “I do” to her now husband! I wish I could put into words how incredible it all was. Hands down, it was one of the best weddings I have been able to be a part of.

And because I feel I am on a current wedding high, this week I want to highlight a gallery from a wedding I was able to shoot this past May. Be warned, your heart may burst because this wedding was insanely gorgeous. Let’s go!

Everyone, meet Emily + Adam!

I loved the opportunity to be a small part on their big day! I think one of the reasons why was because everything on their day was intentional. It was so obvious how much they loved each other and how much their friends and family loved them in return. Wedding days can sometimes be stressful, but you could tell that was the furthest thing on their minds.

I am an absolute sucker for details and I think that was one of the most memorable parts of my day, especially during the getting ready process. It was the absolute sweetest and I felt like I was constantly running out of time because I wanted to shoot literally everything. Some of my favorite details were actually heirlooms handed down from her grandmother. This included a locket (that she kept in the pocket of her dress), a vintage ring that Emily wore on her pinkie the entire day, and a vintage mirror/hairbrush set.

One of my favorite details was a story Emily told us all. Emily grew up dancing ballet and one day her dance teacher gave her a lucky penny to wear in the heel of her shoe when she got married. She kept that lucky penny all these years and wore it during her day. Stories like these make my melt heart.

If I could describe Emily + Adam’s wedding day in one word it would be thoughtful. Everything had a purpose, served its purpose, and I loved watching it all come full circle. From her details, to the way she wanted to walk down the aisle, and even how the sparkler exit was executed, they all had a spotlight moment. You could tell that the details sprinkled through their day were meant to be there and was important to their story!

Emily + Adam, it was a dream to be able capture your big day. Thank you for your love and sharing it with everyone. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness!

xoxo,

Sarah
