Congratulations!

Towards the beginning of wedding planning your mind is flooded with emails, meetings, tastings, fittings and more. Naturally, it can be easy to forget to add those personal touches during the planning process that make your wedding you! Since this day is about you and your partner now is the best time to show your guests just how unique, trendy, or classy you are.

Now, this task isn’t always easy. That is why I have come up with four ways to personalize you wedding ceremony!

Four Ways to Personalize You Wedding Ceremony

  1. Share Your Love Story on the Programs

There are multiple ways you can navigate through this! For instance, you could create a timeline of your love story, add illustrations, or create a QR code that will direct your guests to a website that includes your story! This will give guests the opportunity to learn more about you and have something to read/look at as they wait for your big debut!

2. A Non-Traditional Walk Down the Isle

As we inch closer into 2021 it has become more of a trend to be non-traditional. So, why not break those traditional wedding norms and walk down the isle with your partner? This could look like the officiant walking first, followed by groomsmen, bridesmaids, then the both of you! Now, this one isn’t for everyone, but can be something special.

3. Include Your Pets

I will always encourage my clients to include their fur-babies in their ceremony! This adds a little more excitement to the mix, especially if your dog gets his or her own song to walk down the isle to! Here is a major tip: Have someone essentially “dog-sit” for you. This person shouldn’t be in your bridal/groom party and will the person who helps the dog (or dogs) get down the isle, make sure they do not disrupt the ceremony, and will keep them safe during the rest of the night!

4. Hire An Artist

I can help capture your ceremony memories in a photo, but why not go the extra step and get those memories captured with paints? Hiring an artist to paint your ceremony is not only unique, but is a great piece of art you can hang in your home! It also serves as a great conversation starter when you have guests over. I, personally, highly recommend this!

Keep in mind that these are merely suggestions for you wedding day. You have the freedom to do whatever you feel will best show the journey between you and your partner. Be creative, have fun, and don’t put too much pressure on yourself (I understand you’re already under enough of that)! I hope these tips help you and your partner along your wedding planning process!

Have a great week, friends!

xoxo-

Sarah
