Happy Halloween, everyone!!
I hope everyone has had a fun and safe Halloween full of candy and Hocus Pocus (which has been playing all day long on my end!) I wanted to finish off October with another gallery highlight! This gallery might just possibly be one of my favorites- EVER! Why? Well, let’s take a look.
Everyone, meet Makayla + Ian!
Makayla and Ian’s wedding was located at The Big Creek Lodge at Luna Trail Events nestled in the mountains of West-field, North Carolina. The venue is placed in the Blue Ridge Mountains which offers stunning (and I mean stunning) views. The ceremony chapel sat in the middle of the venue and had one of the best views of the mountains behind it. I remember walking up to the chapel and becoming overwhelmed with joy because I knew that this scene would make for some of the most dreamy photos!
The energy throughout the day was incredible. Everyone was giddy and emotional. It felt like being a kid again on Christmas morning. We had a few hiccups during the day, but it never once shifted the energy. The ceremony didn’t start on time, which is totally normal, and this can lead to stress for the bride, but Makayla wasn’t bothered by it! She was just so happy to be marrying her best friend and nothing could take that away from her!
When I think about moments that stood out to me the most during the day, I think about the ceremony. Both, Ian and Makayla shed tears while she walked down the aisle. It felt like a scene from a move and I was thrilled! After their first kiss as a married couple Makayla was so visibly stoked and shrieked from excitement! It was quite possibly the most adorable thing I have ever seen. The joy never left- we exited the ceremony to take photos and I didn’t even have to pose anyone. Everyone was a natural and their smiles were all contagious!
Makayla + Ian,
You two were a dream come true for me. Thank you for your infectious joy, your easy going attitudes, and for showing me what unfiltered joy looks like. I wish you nothing more, but a lifetime full of love, patience, and care for each other. Congratulations!
xoxo-
Sarah
