Gallery Highlight: Adrienne + Kevin

Hi, friends!!

I am so excited to share today’s gallery highlight with all of you! This has been a session that has consistency on my mind since it happened. I think that it is only appropriate to write a blog over this session since it can’t seem to leave my mind. I also need to share with you how incredible this night was not only for me, but for my clients!

Everyone, meet Adrienne + Kevin!

When Kevin reached out to me he let me know that he had been planning a proposal for his former girlfriend for months and it had to be rescheduled multiple times due to work schedules. Both Adrienne and Kevin are from Ohio and he was wanting to plan a little vacation out of state to Asheville for the both of them. Once he was finally able to nail down the date he contacted me, Picnic Popup Asheville and booked the proposal at The Cliffs at Glassy Chapel!

I was able to work with all the vendors included to set up the perfect scene for the two. He had picked out a song to play once they walked into the Chapel and we were able to get that done for him. Once they both walked in, Adrienne immediately knew what was happening and started to tear up. I won’t lie, once she started to cry I did too. It was one of the those moments where you couldn’t help share in the emotions of the moment.

The two walked up to the front of the Chapel where the scene was set up. There were candles, rose petals, and once Adrienne saw everything she said, “I need to sit down.” She promptly sat down on the step because she was overwhelmed with what was about to happen. They both sat in the middle of the gorgeous stage and hugged for a moment soaking in their last moments as just boyfriend and girlfriend. Then, Kevin got back up and asked her to stand up so he could get down on one knee.

This was the sweetest moment because Adrienne was so overcome with joy and couldn’t contain her excitement. After she said yes, she turned to us and we all screamed, hugged, and congratulated them on this life-changing moment! We let them take their moment to soak everything in and then it was as if the universe knew we were celebrating. We all walked out to the MOST BEAUTIFUL sunset ever!

The sun was glistening on the fall colored tree’s while poking behind the mountains and…it was magical! We lead them over to where we had setup champagne and she popped the bubbly to get the party started! We let them wander around the hillside while they were dancing and crying the entire evening. Adrienne kept saying, “I’m having a lot of feelings right now!” and staring at her beautiful engagement ring! Kevin took it all in and was utterly giddy that his elaborate plan had worked! Lot of tears flowed as they soaked in the last moments as the sun sank behind the mountains. That’s when we enjoyed the “Blue Hour” which is one of my all time favorite things.

At the end of the night, we all headed back inside the Chapel. It was then where they facetimed their families to tell them the exciting news. It was such a special night for everyone involoved and I honestly will never forget all the emotions and joy felt by everyone.

Adrienne and Kevin, thank you, thank you, thank you! It was an honor shooting you two and having the opportunity to share this moment with you. I can’t wait until the next time I have the chance to hang out and shoot you beautiful humans again!
