Tips For Your Winter Wedding

Hi, hi!

We are finally in December, which is insane because wasn’t it JUST January?! I think that we should kick off the first Sunday or December with a fun Winter Wedding Blog! Today, I want to discuss a few tips for any of my Winter Wedding brides. These will be simple tips that you can integrate that will turn your wedding into a Winter Wonderland.

So, let’s get started, shall we?

TIPS FOR YOUR WINTER WEDDING

A Velvet Touch

I don’t know about you but, I am 100% obsessed with velvet. Not only is it such a classic type of fabric, but it pairs nicely with Winter, and Fall, themed events. You can add touches of velvet by having the grooms party wear velvet suits, having velvet soft seating at your wedding reception, or even using velvet tablecloths. Play with how you can use it and have fun!

A Candle Paradise

Candles are very common to have during a Wedding ceremony and reception. The key to using them for your Winter Wedding is to hurricane shades! You can go in with different colored and sizes of candles then add the hurricane shades to not only protect your surroundings, but to add that nice elegant touch! Similar to the velvet, have fun with using candles!

A Twinkle to Remember

I love the use of fairy lights to add a romantic touch to the dark, intimate setting! When looking around your wedding venue, find the best areas to decorate with added twinkles. Maybe an archway or a large tree in the garden! Remember, you can never have enough twinkling lights.

A Bar For All

One of the best ways to warm up your guests is to have hot drinks available at the bar! You can go in with a mulled wine or even a full Hot Cocoa bar. This will ensure that there is an option for everyone and they can keep warm the entire night!

A Plan B

A winter wedding may just be a little bit chilly and it may be perfectly okay to stay in that temperature for the entirety of the ceremony. If temperatures drop more or it begins to snow, that can change plans for the big day. Be sure to ask the venue if there is a Plan B in case of a drastic weather change.

That is all I have for today! If you would like any extra tips feel free to email or DM me on Instagram! I wish every Winter bride reading this the best Winter Wedding Day ever!
